Tony DiTerlizzi Talks & Signs Books at the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe
Illustrator and writer Tony DiTerlizzi, co-creator of The Spiderwick Chronicles, will be in Santa Fe 6:30 pm Tuesday, March 1, for a special Interview with George RR Martin and questions from the audience.
This February and March, the Jean Cocteau Cinema will celebrate the incredible work of Tony DiTerlizzi, illustrator and co-creator of The Spiderwick Chronicles series! Throughout the month of February, the Jean Cocteau Cinema Gallery will showcase DiTerlizzi’s illustrations, sell prints of his artwork, and feature special screenings of the beloved 2008 film, The Spiderwick Chronicles (PG). Copies of The Spiderwick Chronicles, and several other books featuring DiTerlizzi’s award-winning illustrations, will be available for purchase.
In 2014, he teamed up with Lucasfilm to retell the original Star Wars trilogy in a picture book. This year, a highly-anticipated collection of his early work, REALMS: The Roleplaying Game Art of Tony DiTerlizzi was released. October will see the debut of The Story of Diva & Flea, a collaboration with fellow kid’s lit bestseller, Mo Willems. Tony’s work as been featured in Time magazine, USA Today, CNN, PBS, the BBC and The Today Show.
The event starts at 6:30 pm Tuesday, March 1. Admission is free with the purchase of the hardcover or $10.00 without a book purchase.
