Journey to a time unknown for a day of adventure, entertainment, and merriment set at the picturesque Mine Shaft Tavern in Madrid, NM, on Saturday, September 24.
This daylong festival has a steampunk theme, and all attendees are requested to be a part of creating a unique atmosphere and dress in their best steampunk gear. Merchants will be there to help fill your garb and gear needs. This is a family friendly event and is open to the public. Scavenger hunt, steampunk panels, live entertainment and other activities planned.
Saturday, September 24, is broken up into 2 segments:
Daytime activities – noon to dark
Entertainment, steampunk panels and activities are planned throughout the day starting at 1:00 pm. 2:00 pm – Scavenger Hunt begins. Scavenger Hunt details to be announced!
3:00 pm – Group photo opportunities around the Mine Shaft, shopping and merriment
5:00 pm – Costume Contest Winners Announced
5:30 pm – Group Photo Opportunity – Behind Engine House Theater
6:00-8:00 pm – Dinner break – Merchants will be open for shopping and group photo opportunities
Evening festivities – 8:00 pm to close
Doors open at 8:00 pm for The Engine House Cabaret – this show will sell out
Things get steamy in this vaudeville cabaret show featuring burlesque and belly dancers and a variety of entertainment. (Teens are allowed if accompanied by an adult)

After the show, The Mine Shaft Tavern will be open with live music and dancing.
