Sesame Street 50th Anniversary Celebration February 12 in association with the Henson Exhibition at the ABQ Museum!

NM-PBS and Albuquerque Museum present a Sesame Street 50th Anniversary celebration. Join us for a fun and free event for all ages!

This event is free; registration is required. Space is limited.
Among the activities planned:
  • Take a selfie with walk-around Cookie Monster (Walk-around Cookie Monster Appearance Times: 5:30-6 pm, 6:30-7:00 pm and 7:30-8:00 pm).
  • Watch a special Sesame Street 50th Anniversary video
  • Engage in fun, hands-on kids activities
  • Enjoy light snacks
  • Visit the current curated exhibition The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited

The Jim Henson exhibition features a broad range of artifacts related to Henson’s unparalleled career, including more than 20 puppets, character sketches, storyboards, scripts, photographs, film and television clips, behind-the-scenes footage, iconic costumes, and interactive experiences that allow visitors to try their hand at puppeteering on camera and designing a puppet character.

The Sesame Street 50th Celebration is 5:30-8:00 pm Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the ABQ Museum.  Admission to this event is free; registration is required. Space is limited.
