RiffTrax presents Carnival of Souls
Two Nights Only for Halloween!
Thursday, October 27 – 7:00 pm only at the Century Rio, Century Downtown and Regal Cottonwood. Encore presentation 7:30 pm Monday, October 31.
A LIVE never-before-seen riffing on the spooky midnight-movie cult classic, Carnival of Souls, from the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN. Fathom Events and RiffTrax.com are excited to bring the 1962 independent horror film Carnival of Souls to the big screen for a LIVE riff on Thursday, October 27, followed by a special re-broadcast on Monday, October 31.
Kick-off your Halloween season with a night of laughter as the guys who make movies funny, Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett, take on the spooky 1962 cult classic Carnival of Souls.
When young Mary survives a horrible car crash, she tries to start her life over with a new job in a small Utah town. But along the way she’s haunted by a gaunt pale figure in a nice suit who leads her to an abandoned old pavilion on the shores of the Great Salt Lake. Soon Mary doesn’t know if she’s awake or dreaming, alive or dead, which makes her really dull at parties.
In its first big screen presentation since a recent full-color restoration, Carnival of Souls as riffed by the RiffTrax crew is weird, creepy, very silly and the perfect Halloween treat
Again, this special presentation takes place in Albuquerque at the Century Rio, the Century Downtown and Regal Cottonwood theaters.
