Jean Cocteau Cinema Presents Denver’s Jason Heller on September 18!

SANTA FE, N.M. –Denver-based author Jason Heller joins us for a signing and discussion of his latest novel, Strange Stars, on Tuesday, September 18th, at 6 pm.

Discussing how 1970s sci-fi concepts and space exploration affected pop stars like David Bowie, Heller pays tribute to the musical genius that was inspired by these technological advances. Strange Stars is the place where non-fiction meets science-fiction in a psychedelic blur of history, creativity, and rock-n-roll.

In Heller’s recent interview with NPR, he explains, “[The ’70s offered] a profound shift in how we see ourselves, and the universe as well, and it happened just as rock and R&B music was experimenting with a new kind of progressive sound and approach, one where it was encouraged to push boundaries, be ambitious, and expand the scope of what pop music could do.”

Please join Jason Heller 6:00 pm Tuesday, September 18th, at the Jean Cocteau Cinema, 418 Montezuma in Santa Fe.
