“Evidence of filmmakers who not only know how to make good movies; they also wear all of their insane, colorful, and playfully nasty influences right on their sleeves – and in this case that’s just a whole lot of fun to watch.” – Scott Weinberg, Crooked Marquee
“This film is a clear and tangible example that allows us to explain what some of us mean when we defend the big screen and label the cinema as a collective experience.” – Víctor López G., Espinof
“It’s like a Saturday morning cartoon for the criminally insane, and I mean that with love.” – Matt Donato, Atom Insider
“To put simply, “Guns Akimbo” is a hot mess, but in the best neon-drenched and rock ‘n roll way.” – Kate Sánchez, But Why Tho? A Geek Community
“I loved the frenetic, intense energy Guns Akimbo overflows with.” – Scott Wampler, Birth.Movies.Death.
“A spectacularly fun and exciting time whenever the needle drops and Weaving owns her badass, gun-wielding image.” – Robert Daniels, RogerEbert.com
“It is the spiritual sequel to The Truman Show that we deserve. Our culture now craves a fanboy loser who somehow becomes a character in a John Woo movie.” – Alan Zilberman, Brightest Young Things
