THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELED due to NM Phase1 COVID-19 restrictions on gathering sizes and occupancy in houses of worship.  We don’t know when or where this meeting will be rescheduled.  Unfortunately, it has been postponed three times – originally it was March 27, then moved to April 24, and now canceled for May 29

CANCELED:  Nominations for Bubonicon 53 Special Guests (2021) will NOT take place 7:30 pm Friday, May 29, in the Activity Room of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Ave NE (near Erna Ferguson Library, just off San Mateo between Comanche & Montgomery).

Mark your calendar if you’re interested. This meeting is open to everyone! You need not be a member of ASFS or a past attendee of Bubonicon to come and suggest possible guests. (However, a little research can be helpful in talking about why your nominee would be a great Bubonicon guest – titles of published work, where he/she lives, experiences at other cons.)

A Guideline To Remember: We cannot accept nominations for guests who charge appearance fees; or who live in England, Europe, Australia, Japan, etc. Sorry, our finances can’t cover those particular people.

NEW THIS YEAR:  We would very much like to have one of our 2021 Guests of Honor be a Young Adult author!  We especially will be looking for nominations of YA authors local people would like to see in Albuquerque come August 2021.

Also, No One will be considered for Guest of Honor (Writer or Artist) who has been such in the past 15 years. So anyone from 2005-present is not eligible to be GoH again (there are plenty of fresh faces out there).
