Programming – A Visit from a Science Speaker for this Summer Virtual Meeting!

Due to current COVID-19 Health Order restrictions & social distancing, we will meet virtually via a Zoom Session!

In a virtual visit, Air Force Research Laboratory astronomer Tanya Tavenner, who will talk about “Black Holes and What Would Really Kill You If You Entered One.”  Tanya is an astronomer at Starfire Optical range working to develop and refine the Space Force space domain awareness capabilities.  She also has written flight software for NASA and ground analysis software for MIT when she worked at Los Alamos.

Club News:  St. Andrew is beginning to allow outside groups to rent space in the church.  Tentatively, ASFS can meet in-person in the Activity Room Friday, August 30.  Our dates for September-December 2021 are approved as well!

If we were meeting at the church, newcomers would be welcome with a $1.00 contribution to help pay our rent…

ACTIVITY ROOM (west end of building, by the gated courtyard)
Use the North Door on back of church – courtyard will be locked!
