The 7th Annual Albuquerque Renaissance Faire takes place 10:00 am-5:00 pm Saturday, April 27, at the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum, 9201 Balloon Museum NE (just off Alameda west of I-25).  It’s a Rain or Shine event…

A day of medieval activities is planned, including Music, dancing, magic, and more.  From armored combat exhibitions and a Renaissance Village reenacting medieval life to Living History Demonstrations, there is entertainment for all. Stumble on entertainment that has traveled through centuries and over continents as you make your way around the grounds.  There will be juggling, an equestrian jousting, Faire Ware Show: Pet Fashion Contest, a Free Children’s Realm, Village Shopping, and more.

Faire Ware Show: Pet Fashion Contest: All attendees are highly encouraged to bring your favorite four legged family members! Don’t leave them out of the fun and be sure to dress them up for the Faire Ware Show. The Pet Fashion Contest will be at 12:30 pm on the battle field. Sign up at the event.

Crawl to the Crown: Baby Race: Put your baby’s speed skills to the test to see who is the fastest in the land. Crawl to the Crown: Baby Race will be at 12:45 pm. Sign up at the event.

Tilted Tankard Tavern: Kings and Queens can take advantage of the opportunity to escape the hard life of running the Kingdom and spend some time in The Tilted Tankard Tavern – upstairs inside the Balloon Museum. Enjoy food, entertainment, and libations from local vendors. The Tavern is for adults ages 21 years and up. Beer, mead, wine, and spirits will also be available throughout the Faire.
Commoner’s Food Court: A variety of food trucks will serve your favorite fare along with other concessions of traditional Renaissance themed food including turkey legs, meat pies, pizza, corn on the cob, baked goods, frozen sweet treats, and more.

Tickets:  Adults $10.00, Children 3-12 $5.00, Children Under 3 years Free.  Balloon Museum admission is included with Faire tickets.

NO “live steel” (steel weaponry) is permitted!  That includes all members of the SCA, even if the weapon is “peace tied.”  And No Outside Food or Beverages.

This Renaissance Faire is presented by the City of Albuquerque, the Society for Creative Anachronism – Barony of al-Barran, and Taste ABQ BioPark.
