48TH WILLIAMSON LECTURESHIP IN PORTALES, NM
THEME IS “OH, THE (IN)HUMANITY”

Event takes place at Eastern NM University in Portales, NM.   Special Guest is Texas author Darcie Little Badger.  She is joined by Mistress of Ceremonies Connie Willis of Colorado.  Also expected to attend are Darynda Jones, Arkady Martine, Diana Rowland, Vivian Shaw, Melinda M. Snodgrass, John Stith, Lauren C. Teffeau, Ian Tregillis, Sarena Ulibarri, Walter Jon Williams, Cordelia Willis and Courtney Willis, and other NM authors.

Festivities Friday, April 11, include a Guest of Honor reading by Little Badger in the morning, a ticketed luncheon at 12 Noon with remarks from Connie Willis and a keynote talk from Little Badger, a visit to the Williamson Special Collections in the Golden Student Success Center, and panel discussions in the afternoon.

* APRIL 11 LUNCHEON: 12 Noon in the Campus Union Ballroom (2nd floor) at ENMU, with seating starting at 11:30 am.  Cost is $TBD, payable at the door. Reservations are required by Monday, March 31!  Please email David Sweeten at david.sweeten@enmu.edu.  Books should be available for purchase, and most participants will autograph items at this time.

On April 10, Cordelia Willis will give a forensic science talk, followed by a Carnival Cantina with student organizations. .

And Saturday morning, April 12, Connie Willis will be offering her Creative Writing Workshop.  It promises to be a fun and productive conversation as always!  Many guest authors join Connie for this discussion.
