46TH WILLIAMSON LECTURESHIP IN PORTALES, NM
THEME IS “CLIMATES OF EMPIRE”

Event takes place at Eastern NM University in Portales, NM.   Special Guest is NM author Arkady Martine.  She is joined by Mistress of Ceremonies Connie Willis of Colorado.  Also expected to attend are Courtney Willis, Cordelia Willis, Reese Hogan, Darynda Jones, Jeffe Kennedy, Emily Mah, Rebecca Roanhorse, Vivian Shaw, Lauren C. Teffeau, Ian Tregillis, Sarena Ulibarri, Walter Jon Williams, and other NM authors.

Festivities Friday, April 14, include a Guest of Honor reading by Martine at 10:00 am, a ticketed luncheon at 12 Noon with remarks from Connie Willis and a keynote talk from Martine, tabletop gaming at 2:00 pm in the Golden Student Success Center, and panel discussions 3:00-6:15 pm in the Jack Williamson Liberal Arts Building.

* APRIL 14 LUNCHEON: 12 Noon in the Campus Union Ballroom (2nd floor) at ENMU.  Cost is $12.00, payable at the door. Reservations are required by Monday, April 4!  Please email David Sweeten at david.sweeten@enmu.edu or use this google form –

At 5:30 pm Thursday, April 13, there will be a screening of Student Films in the University Theatre Center.  And at 3:30 pm, Cordelia Willis will give a forensic science talk in Room 111 of the Jack Williamson Liberal Arts Building.

And Saturday morning, April 15, Connie Willis will be offering her Creative Writing Workshop in Room 111 of the JWLA.  It promises to be a fun and productive conversation as always!  Many of our guest authors join Connie for this discussion.  Registration is required:
