Jean Cocteau Cinema Presents Melinda Snodgrass on December 3!

SANTA FE, N.M. — Join Melinda Snodgrass for a talk on the first solo Wild Cards novel, Double Solitaire (a re-issue of the 1992 book).

Melinda Snodgrass studied opera in Austria, went to UNM Law School, and practiced law for a few years before realizing she loved the law but wasn’t fond of the lawyers. She then began writing science fiction, worked on numerous show in Hollywood, including Star Trek: The Next Generation, and is a co-editor of the Wild Cards series.

Synopsis of the Book:  “Aboard his grandfather’s spaceship and fleeing the violent turmoil between jokers, aces, and nats that his vicious ambition spawned, Blaise is headed for a new conquest: the planet Takis. Dr. Tachyon is left behind… but he’s lost more than his only way of returning to his homeworld. Blaise has stolen his body, as well — leaving Tach trapped in the pregnant body of a teenage runaway. Tachyon must sell his soul to reach Takis — and once there, confront Blaise amidst the political and military machinations of Takisian society. Treachery and treason await him. At stake is nothing less than the destiny of an entire world.”

Please join Melinda Snodgrass 6:30 pm Tuesday, December 3th, at the Jean Cocteau Cinema, 418 Montezuma in Santa Fe.
