♣ Local writer/skeptic Benjamin Radford returns to tell us about his behind-the-scenes experience on a TV ghost hunters show, and to talk about his latest book, Investigating Ghosts: The Scientific Search for Spirits, for the Halloween season (book was released January 2018 by Rhombus Publishing!
♥ Plus we’ll have our club officer elections for moderator, alternator and executive secretary. Not to mention choosing a “challenge” ingredient or theme for our December Dessert Cook-Off…
First up, Bubonicon 47 science speaker Benjamin Radford returns to ASFS to give a talk on his experiences behind-the-scenes of a TV ghost hunting show, and discusses his latest book, Investigating Ghosts: The Scientific Search for Spirits. From an online description of the book, “Ghosts have fascinated and haunted us for millennia. They appear in our campfire tales, films, books, and television shows as well as in our dreams and nightmares. Despite widespread belief in spirits and the popularity of television ghost hunting shows, scientific evidence for them remains elusive. After Ben is done, we’ll have our annual Club Officer Elections! And choose an ingredient or theme for the December cook-off/party.

DOORS OPEN AT 7:15 PM. Enter through the back doors (northside) of church – the courtyard is locked up at 5:00 pm each day. Please do not arrive before 7:15 pm. We have to set up the room ourselves, and straighten/clean-up around 10:00 pm.
