40TH WILLIAMSON LECTURESHIP IN PORTALES, NM
Event takes place at Eastern NM University in Portales, NM.  Special Guests are Victor Milan of Albuquerque and Mistress of Ceremonies Connie Willis of Colorado. Also expected to attend are Courtney Willis, Steven Gould, Joan Saberhagen and other NM authors.

Festivities Friday, April 8, include a reading by Milan 10:00-11:00 am Friday, a ticketed luncheon, an “ice cream break,” panel discussions 3:00-6:15 pm on the 2nd floor of Golden Library, and a visit to the (Jack) Williamson Collection in ENMU’s Golden Library.

* APRIL 8 LUNCHEON: 11:45 am in the Zia Room of the Campus Union at ENMU. Cost is $10.00, payable at the door. Reservations are required by Monday, April 4! Please call Patrice Caldwell at 505-562-2315 or email her at Patrice.Caldwell@enmu.edu. Books will be available for purchase, and most participants will autograph items at this time.

At 5:30 pm Thursday, April 7, A Tribute to Jack Williamson takes place in the Jack Williamson Liberal Arts Building (JWLA) , room 112.  This reading event  showcases Jack’s friends and fellow-authors from across the state.

And 10:00 am-12 Noon Saturday, April 9, a Beginning Writers’ Workshop with Connie Willis and Steven Gould will be held at the Portales Public Library. While designed for beginning writers under the age of 18, Willis & Gould have allowed adult observers in the past (as long as they are quiet and don’t interfere).  This year, they are asking for reservations via the library.
