We’ve decided to run our comics-making workshop twice – at 1:00 and 3:00 pm — it runs about 90 minutes, and this will give two teachers (or teacher teams) the chance. That’ll give you two different takes on the workshop, and we’re hoping we can get more attendees if we keep it short and do it twice. The workshop is a fast-paced, hands-on look at how comics work — we’re coming at it from western comics, but the basic principles we discuss will also apply to manga. Participants will be drawing, but it’s all going to be so fast that it’ll be really simple, so no special skills are required. And it’ll all just be pencil and paper, we’ll provide that.
Figuring that after the 3:00 session, we’ll run through some business quickly. We have the space 1:00–5:00, so there should be time between sessions and after to socialize and share work.
