Programming – Presentation on X Minus One from Christopher Marsh.
Christopher Marsh presents “A Pail of Air” by Fritz Leiber and “A Gun for Dinosaur” by L. Sprague de Camp, two animated episodes from X Minus One. X Minus One was an American half-hour science fiction radio drama series that was broadcast from April 24, 1955, to January 9, 1958, in various timeslots on NBC. Known for high production values in adapting stories from the leading American authors of the era, X Minus One has been described as one of the finest offerings of American radio drama and one of the best science fiction series in any medium.
Marsh is a retired electrical engineer who worked at NASA on various programs including the modernization of the visual system for the Space Shuttle Simulator and the requirements for the International Space Station. After NASA, Marsh worked on artificial intelligence, medical information systems and computer security. In the 1970s, he won several awards for short animated films he created. Now that he is retired, he has gone back to making animation as a hobby. He has ridden his bicycle across the United States five times, and is currently a park commissioner for the City of Rio Rancho.
