45TH WILLIAMSON LECTURESHIP IN PORTALES, NM

Event takes place at Eastern NM University in Portales, NM.   Special Guest is NM author Walter Jon Williams.  He is joined by Mistress of Ceremonies Connie Willis of Colorado.  Also expected to attend are Courtney Willis, Reese Hogan, Darynda Jones, Jeffe Kennedy, Emily Mah, Patricia Rogers, Joan Saberhagen, and other NM authors.

Festivities Friday, April 8, include a Guest of Honor reading by Williams at 10:00 am, a ticketed luncheon at 12 Noon with remarks from Connie Willis and a keynote talk from Williams, tabletop gaming at 1:30 pm in the Golden Student Success Center, and panel discussions 3:00-6:00 pm in the Golden Student Success Center and Library.

* APRIL 8 LUNCHEON: 12 Noon in the Campus Union Ballroom (2nd floor) at ENMU.  Cost is $10.00, payable at the door. Reservations are required by Monday, April 4!  Please call David Sweeten at 575-562-2501 or email him at david.sweeten@enmu.edu.  Books should be available for purchase, and most participants will autograph items at this time.

At 5:30 pm Thursday, April 7, there will be a Retrospective with Walter Jon Williams, led by Connie Willis, discussing his extensive and wide-ranging career.  This year Cordelia Willis will give another forensic science talk, but virtually online.

And Saturday morning, April 9, Connie Willis will be offering her Creative Writing Workshop, which promises to be a fun and productive conversation as always!  Many of our guest authors join Connie for this discussion, and they’ll keep the coffee and refreshments flowing.
