Programming – ONE WEEK EARLY IN A DIFFERENT ROOM!  Jane Lindskold Talks About Her Three Books Coming Out This Year From Baen!

♣ New Mexico author Jane Lindskold returns to talk about three books she has coming out from Baen this year…    We are strongly encouraging the wearing of facial masks while inside the building since COVID has not gone completely away.  We also plan to wipe down surfaces, and encourage social distancing.
We will be in the Adult Education Room toward the front of the church.  Park in the back parking lot, and then go to the EAST end of the building for entrance (Girl Scouts have our usual room until 7:15 pm, so please do not bother them).

Local Author Jane Lindskold visits to talk about her three forthcoming novels from Baen Books – Library of the Sapphire Wind: Over Where 1 (February), Aurora Borealis Bridge: Over Where 2 (April), and A New Clan : Star Kingdom 4 (with David Weber in June).  She should be reading a section from Library of the Sapphire Wind, and answering questions from attendees.

In the first Over Where novel: “Instead of mentors, they got monsters . . . That’s what Xerak, Vereez, and Grunwold think when three strange creatures shimmer into being within the circle of Hettua Shrine. Their conclusion is reasonable enough. After all, they’ve never seen humans before. As for Margaret Blake, Peg Gallegos, and Tessa Brown—more usually known as Meg, Peg, and Teg—they’re equally astonished but, oddly enough, better prepared. Then there is the mysterious verse that Teg speaks as they arrive, words that seem to indicate that the Shrine must have been at least partially responding to the request made of it.  Despite doubts on all sides, the three unlikely mentors join forces with the three young ‘inquisitors’ and venture out into the world Peg dubs ‘Over Where.’ First they must find the Library of the Sapphire Wind, destroyed years before. Will they find answers there, or is this only the first stage in their search?”

Lindskold is the award-winning, New York Times best-selling author of more than 25 novels, including the six-volume Firekeeper Saga (aka “The Wolf Books”), the two athanor novels (Changer and Changer’s Daughter), the three volumes of the Breaking the Wall series, the Artemis Awakening series, the Star Kingdom books with David Weber, and many more.  She lives in Albuquerque, and is a frequent participant at Bubonicon.

Newcomers are welcome with a $1.00 contribution to help pay our rent…

Remember, no outside food is allowed at St. Andrew.  Please be discreet with any candy.  Water/soda bottles and lidded beverage cups are permitted.

DOORS OPEN AT 7:15 PM.  Enter through the EAST door of church and go to the Adult Christian Education Room!  Please do not arrive before 7:15 pm.  We have to set up the room ourselves, and straighten/clean-up around 9:50 pm.
