It’s a 2-in-1 Month!  (Possibly 3-in-1…)  Time for the Bubonicon 50 preview of the schedule and the t-shirts (with art from Eric Velhagen).  It’s also possible a Vote on the 2019 Con Chair(s) will be needed – If so, current club voting rules will apply.  Plus A Visit from an ABQ Author!  The preview of Bubonicon 50 won’t take up our whole club time, so local author Lauren C. Teffeau (who has written short stories, and contributed to The Change: Tales of Downfall and Rebirth) will tell us about her debut novel, Implanted – a cyberpunk thriller.

Implanted is described as such: “When college student Emery Driscoll is blackmailed into being a courier for a clandestine organisation, she’s cut off from the neural implant community which binds the domed city of New Worth together. Her new masters exploit her rare condition which allows her to carry encoded data in her blood, and train her to transport secrets throughout the troubled city. New Worth is on the brink of Emergence – freedom from the dome – but not everyone wants to leave. Then a data drop goes bad, and Emery is caught between factions: those who want her blood, and those who just want her dead.”

Newcomers are welcome with a $1.00 contribution to help pay our rent…
