PROGRAM SCHEDULE IS HERE!

The Program Schedule for Bubonicon 54 is HERE  (updated August 22, 2023 – still subject to change).  Read all about the various workshops, tours, screenings and panel discussions we’ll have available throughout the weekend! All programming subject to change due to participant changes, etc.

GENERAL HOURS:

Here are the general hours of Programming for each day (tentatively) —
FRIDAY, August 25 — 3:30 pm until 12:30 am (approx)
SATURDAY, August 26 — 10:00 am until 12 Midnight (approx)
SUNDAY, August 27 — 10:00 am until 5:00 pm

EVENTS:

The Convention Theme is “Across the Multiverse (Alternate Dimensions, Parallel Worlds)”

The 2023 Program Schedule Highlights:

• Science Talk from Ness Brown 6:30 pm Friday, August 25.
• ABQ Browncoats have their charity screening of “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog” 8:00 pm Friday.
• Charity Auction (at least the first $500 raised) 9:10 pm Friday.
• Children’s Program: Crafts & Such 1:15-2:45 pm Saturday.
• Artist Guest Rachael Mayo’s art slide show 3:00 pm Saturday.
• Costume Contest at 7:00 pm on Saturday.
• Rebecca Roanhorse and Carrie Vaughn have their GoH Presentation Sunday morning (hosted by Toastmaster Kelly Robson).
• Fun/Convention Auction starts at 1:00 pm Sunday.
• Last panel of the weekend starts at 3:30 pm Sunday.

SPECIAL ART SHOW EVENTS:

* Saturday 2:00-3:00 pm:  Former Guest Artist Peri Charlifu gives a Docent Tour.
* Saturday 4:00-5:00 pm:  Former Guest Artist Chaz Kemp gives a Docent Tour.

AUCTIONS:

Have something nifty or cool that you’ll be donating to the 2023 Friday Charity Auction?  We’re more than happy to publicize your unique contribution now.  Just send an email to the Con Chair with details.

We do want to note that at least the first $500.00 raised in the Friday Auction will go to charities.  How much more we can donate depends on how the convention does overall…

We will be accepting Auction donations 3:00-7:30 pm Friday, Aug 25, at the Panelist Check-In/Gofer Tables in the foyer of the Marriott…  Friday’s Charity Auction should start approximately 9:10 pm, and Sunday’s Con Auction should start at 1:00 pm.

Some promised auction items include:

• Signed books from Martha Wells, George RR Martin, Connie Willis, Jeff “Bone” Smith, Arkady Martine, Daniel Abraham, and more.
• Art prints from Don Maitz, Janny Wurts, Jon Sanchez, Jeremy Montoya, and …

• Movie and Book release posters.

• DVD & Blu-Ray movies/tv shows
• Funko Pop figures!
• Some other stuff to be determined (and donated)
