PROGRAM SCHEDULE IS HERE!

The Program Schedule for Bubonicon 55 is HERE  (as of Aug 19, 2024).  Read all about the various workshops, tours, screenings and panel discussions we’ll have available throughout the weekend! All programming subject to change due to participant changes, etc.

GENERAL HOURS:

Here are the general hours of Programming for each day (tentatively) —
FRIDAY, August 23 — 3:30 pm until 12:30 am (approx)
SATURDAY, August 24 — 10:00 am until 12 Midnight (approx)
SUNDAY, August 25 — 10:00 am until 5:00 pm

EVENTS:

The Convention Theme is “Fantasy Wildlife (Dragons and Unicorns and Griffins, Oh My)”

The 2024 Program Schedule Highlights:

• Science Talk from Dr. Darren A. Raspa 6:30 pm Friday, August 23.
• ABQ Browncoats have their charity screening of “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog” 8:00 pm Friday.
• Charity Auction (at least the first $500 raised) 9:10 pm Friday.
• Children’s Program: Crafts & Such 1:15-2:45 pm Saturday.
• Artist Guest Dale Ray Deforest’s art slide show 3:05 pm Saturday.
• Mass Autographing Session 4:30-5:40 pm Saturday.
• Costume Contest at 7:15 pm on Saturday.
• TJ Klune and Mur Lafferty have their GoH Presentation Sunday morning (hosted by Toastmaster Duo Ursula Vernon & Kevin Sonney).
• Fun/Convention Auction starts at 1:00 pm Sunday.
• Last panel of the weekend starts at 3:30 pm Sunday.

SPECIAL ART SHOW EVENTS:

• Peri Charlifu leads a Docent Tour of the Art Show 2:00-3:00 pm Saturday, August 24.

AUCTIONS:

Have something nifty or cool that you’ll be donating to the 2024 Friday Charity Auction?  We’re more than happy to publicize your unique contribution now.  Just send an email to the Con Chair with details.

We do want to note that at least the first $500.00 raised in the Friday Auction will go to charities.  How much more we can donate depends on how the convention does overall…

We will be accepting Auction donations 3:00-7:30 pm Friday, Aug 23, at the Panelist Check-In/Gofer Tables in the foyer of the Marriott…  Friday’s Charity Auction should start approximately 9:10 pm, and Sunday’s Con Auction should start at 1:00 pm.
