Ian Tregillis & Walter Jon Williams Talk & Sign Books at the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe

New Mexico authors Ian Tregillis & Walter Jon Williams will be in Santa Fe on April 23 to talk about and sign copies of their books as part of a Writers Series hosted by David Sidebottom.

About the Writer Series:  “A panel of 2 or 3 writers discussing the art of writing. Each episode will have a starting topic and then branch off as the conversation flows. The Author Spotlight series showcases a mix of both local and visiting authors. A Book signing will be held immediately afterward in the Jean Cocteau Cinema lobby.”

Ian Tregillis is the son of a bearded mountebank and a discredited tarot card reader. He was born and raised in Minnesota, where his parents had landed after fleeing the wrath of a Flemish prince. (The full story, he’s told, involves a Dutch tramp steamer and a stolen horse.) Nowadays he lives in New Mexico, where he consorts with writers, scientists and other unsavoury types. His latest novel is The Liberation: The Alchemy Wars Book 3Walter Jon Williams is an award-winning author who has been listed on the bestseller lists of the New York Times and the Times of London. He is the author of more than two dozen novels and collections of short fiction.  His first novel to attract serious public attention was Hardwired (1986), described by Roger Zelazny as a tough, sleek juggernaut of a story, punctuated by strobe-light movements, coursing to the wail of jets and the twang of steel guitars. In 2001 he won a Nebula Award for his novelette, Daddy’s World, and won again in 2005 for The Green Leopard Plague.

The event starts at 1:00 pm Sunday, April 23.  Special anniversary admission is just $5.00.
