It’s a Big Comic Book Celebration!

Yes, Saturday, May 7, sees a celebration of the annual fannish event, Free Comic Book Day. Several stores throughout Albuquerque will be handing out free comic books and/or offering discounts on various comics, graphic novels, action figures and other materials.

For instance, we know that Astro-Zombies (Central Ave SE) starts their festivities at 10:00 am, including Sales on the Sidewalk and Inside.  In 2014, A-Z gave out approximately 10,000 free comics.  Over at Don’s Book Exchange (San Mateo SE), the store opens at 9:00 am for early birds – and the back warehouse will be open along with markdowns of select merchandise.  And Lobo Anime & Comics (Juan Tabo NE) will have a sidewalk sale, at least.

Be sure to check out the action at these known participants – Astro-Zombies, Lobo Anime & Comics, Don’s Book Exchange, Comic Warehouse, Old West Comics, Twin Suns, Shared Universe, and even Hasting’s.
